Library sounds

Updated 22 October 2026

A library is not silent. It has a soft hum, the odd keystroke, a clock, a page turning. Those small signs of other people working quietly are exactly why libraries feel good to study in. This library ambience brings that feeling home.

How to set it up

  1. Press Play on Library.
  2. If the clock distracts you, open it in the sound masker and turn it off.
  3. Keep it very quiet. A library is a hushed room.

Why libraries help you focus

Seeing and hearing others work is a cue to work yourself. A quiet room with faint activity also has none of the sudden noise of a home.
