Frog sounds

Updated 22 October 2026

A pond full of frogs on a warm night is a busy, rhythmic sound. These are real frog and toad choruses, recorded at night in a Utah canyon and a North Carolina marsh, with crickets and a little moving water.

Play opens the sound masker with this mix already loaded, so you can hear it and shape it.

How to set it up

  1. Press Play on Frog pond.
  2. For fewer frogs, open it in the sound masker and lower Frogs. Higher levels mean a bigger chorus.
  3. For a rainforest, play Rainforest.

Frogs at night

Male frogs call to attract mates, mostly on warm, wet nights in spring and summer. A large chorus can be surprisingly loud. Here it is kept soft, so it works as a background.
