Wind sounds

Updated 22 October 2026

Wind is a moving noise. It swells, fades, and changes pitch as gusts pass, which gives it more life than a fan but no sudden events. Wind on its own is a good sound for sleep, and it makes a great base for chimes, rain, or a fire.

Wind for sleep

The rise and fall of the wind is slow, so it does not startle. If the gusts feel too strong, lower the layer and add a little brown noise underneath to fill the gaps.
